Rakibul Islam is a research assistant in the Computer Vision and Intelligent Interfacing Lab (CVIIL) at the Islamic University, Kushtia, Bangladesh. He earned his M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Information and Communication Technology from the same institution in 2024 and 2022, respectively. His research interests include Medical Image Processing, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Biomedical Robotics.

Rakibul’s research program focuses on segmenting cancerous tissues in biomedical images. He aims to find and apply new AI brain interventions in clinical settings to fight human diseases. He specializes in prostate and brain cancer research and radiomics features-based image-guided therapy. Additionally, he is an active member of the Biomedical Imaging Network group, which creates medical imaging tools.
